Team —

POLITICO is reporting that Trump’s former Attorney General, Jeff Sessions, is considering running against Democratic Senator Doug Jones for his old Alabama Senate seat.

Let’s be clear: Jeff Sessions wasn’t fit to be Attorney General, and he isn’t fit for the Senate. As Coretta Scott King noted in a 1986 letter to the Senate, he used his position as a U.S. Attorney “to chill the free exercise of the vote by black citizens.” And he hasn’t improved since.

CNBC says that Alabama is “one of the GOP’s best chances to flip a seat” and Roll Call is already calling Doug an underdog. Democrat Doug Jones is extremely vulnerable.

Democrats can’t win back the Senate majority without holding the line in Alabama, so we told Doug we’d help him raise $10,000 to protect this extremely vulnerable Senate seat. Doug is relying on your help to get there, team, so will you please kick in $3 or as much as you can right now?

Doug is the perfect contrast to Sessions. As a former U.S. Attorney, he brought members of the KKK to justice for the 16th Street Baptist Church bombing.

He’s an extremely important voice in the Senate, and keeping him there is going to be tough. That’s why we need your help, everyone. Will you please click here to donate to reelect Doug and stop Jeff Sessions from going back to the Senate?

Thank you,
