Dear friend,

Girls Not Brides is mourning the passing of its founder and champion, Archbishop Desmond Tutu.

His passion and commitment put girls’ rights and lives at the centre of global conversation, and called many leaders around the world to “let girls be girls, not brides”. While he will be much missed, his legacy will continue.

Please read this statement [[link removed]] in tribute to Archbishop Tutu, in celebration of his life and all he contributed to progressing gender equality and ending child marriage.

With our deepest sympathies,

Faith
