Syrian refugees fear the worst

Dear John,

Winter in the Middle East is harsh. Winter as a refugee is even harsher.

For most people, this is a time to gather with friends and family – to celebrate
and give thanks. But for many families in places like Syria, Jordan and
Lebanon, it’s a time they dread.

> US$ 350 could provide winter cash assistance for refugees, allowing them to buy much-needed winter supplies for five families

We, at UNHCR, are always the first ones on the ground, so we can deliver cash assistance to refugees and displaced people living in deep poverty. Your donation could fix leaking roofs, keep houses warm, pay for gas and electricity. Your donation could make this winter bearable for people whose lives have been torn apart time after time.

Families are depending on us to keep their children warm this winter.
Can they depend on you too?

With thanks,

Breno Valentini

P.S. Please don’t skip the video at the top of this email – it’s not long, but it gives refugees a chance to tell you what winter is really like for them in their own words.
