I hope this email finds you getting ready to spend some quality time with your loved ones.

However you’re celebrating, the holidays are a time to be thankful for our blessings. As I write to you from my living room with my family, I want you to know how grateful I am for your support of the Texas Democratic Party over the past year.

A lot has changed since last year’s holiday season. I know many of us are being affected by the new Omicron variant, and my heart goes out to those who are unable to spend the holidays with their families this year. But thanks to President Biden, local leaders, doctors, scientists, and frontline workers, we have the most powerful tool to protect ourselves and our loved ones -- vaccines.

One of my biggest takeaways from 2021 is the incredible resilience and solidarity of our movement. In the face of countless attacks from Greg Abbott and Texas Republicans, you focused on what truly matters: caring for our communities and working towards a better future for millions of Texans.

Whether your family is celebrating the Festival of Lights, lighting a Kinara, gathering around a Christmas tree, or simply uniting to share each other's company, my family and I would like to thank you for your commitment to our Democratic movement this year. We couldn’t have made it through this challenging year without your steadfast support.

We have an important year ahead of us. With strong leaders running up and down the ballot across our state, it’s more important than ever that we keep up our fight. I have no doubt that we will rise to this moment because as Texas Democrats, that’s just who we are.

Here’s looking towards the new year with hope and determination, as we continue fighting to take back our state.
