Friends,

After everything we’ve gone through the last year and a half, I hope you’re able to spend the holidays safely with people you love.

On the hardest days — whether it’s being a candidate, an organizer, or just being a mom — what keeps me going is the knowledge that I’m nowhere close to being alone in this. There are thousands of people who care just as much, who believe just as strongly in doing what’s right, and who have a whole lotta fight left in them.

Just like in the Marines, no one promised me a rose garden or said this would be easy. Remember, WE are the patriots willing to contribute, to sacrifice and to protect our democracy, our country, and true American values.

Thank you for being a part of what our country needs right now, for staying in this fight with me. When future generations look back at this time in American history, know that we are on the right side of history.

From Erik, the kiddos, and me, have the merriest of Christmases and the happiest of holidays.
