a holly branch with snow on it

Dear Friend,

As we gather with our families, friends, and communities this holiday season, I am reflecting on all we've accomplished together. Not only have we been able to serve more than 1500 children seeking safety in the United States this year, but we have also pushed the needle on the policy front to safeguard legal protections for children. We've trained hundreds of volunteers who met with children in government facilities every week to make sure children are not alone. And we've built key relationships with organizations working on social and racial justice issues to work towards equity together. Having stepped into the Executive Director role only at the end of June, I am so proud of the robust Young Center community I've been able to forge new connections with through events, meetings, and on social media. You enable our work and energize our staff. Thank you.

Wishing you happy holidays.

P.S. Still in need of a last minute holiday gift? Give the gift of long-lasting impact by making a tribute gift in honor of that special someone you know who also supports our cause of ensuring safety and protection for immigrant children. You will receive an email receipt right away and your honoree will be mailed a letter of notification from us about your gift. Plus – your gift will be doubled by an anonymous donor who has generously pledged $54,000 as a challenge match – help us meet this goal!

The Young Center works with the most vulnerable unaccompanied and separated immigrant children in federal custody, so their voices are heard, and their best interests are protected. We also advocate for an immigration system that treats children as children. To learn more about work, visit theyoungcenter.org or follow us on social media. Click here to donate.
