The Supreme Court will hear a pivotal case regarding the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) policy next week. This program, put into place by President Obama, protects hundreds of thousands of DREAMers from deportation. These young DREAMers are paying taxes, serving in the military and contributing to our communities. This summer, Congress easily passed a bill that would make it official and allow our DREAMers to stay here in America. But you know how this story ends: blocked by the Senate, dismissed publicly by the president on Twitter, demonized by those on the very far right. Well, the reality is that most Americans believe that DREAMers who serve their country, give back to their community and pay their taxes deserve a path to citizenship. Now, I want to know if you do. Do you support a path to citizenship for the DREAMers? It’s critical that we raise our voices on this issue now so everyone knows just how expansive the support for this policy is. We made a promise to the DREAMers a long time ago and now, it’s time for us to keep this promise. It’s time to create a path to citizenship. Do you agree?
