Jack,
As we all slow down for the holidays, I wanted to take a moment to reflect and share my gratitude for the people holding us together right now: frontline workers.
Whether it’s the healthcare workers looking after folks in the hospital, or the delivery drivers braving Winter weather to bring us meals and deliver our packages; line cooks and dishwashers or maintenance workers and bus drivers – or even a bit of everything in between – these ordinary working people are holding us up through unprecedented times.
As a single dad, I know how tough it is to juggle family and work responsibilities even in normal times. One of the most important reasons I entered the race for Secretary of State was to make it easier for working people to participate in our democracy by making voting more accessible – and I am committed to that fight.
As you take time to rest and recharge over the next few days, enjoying time with your loved ones, I’d like you to join me in giving a moment of thanks to the people who can’t take the day off.
These folks deserve our support, and they deserve to be represented in our government. That’s what Team Owens is fighting for, and I’m so grateful that you’re a part of it.
I hope you have a joyful, happy holiday with all your loved ones. Please stay healthy and safe, and let’s greet 2022, ready to win this race and restore faith in our democracy!
Semper Fi,
