** It's A Christmas Miracle!
------------------------------------------------------------
We’re very excited about the launch of the much anticipated new eForms system. This represents the largest technological jump for NFA since the advent of the fax machine. The system is online as of this morning, December 23rd.

While we do not yet know exactly what transfer times will be, we do know that the new eForms system will improve efficiencies and as a result has the potential to dramatically decrease wait times.

We should all expect some instability through the first few days of the launch as manufacturers and dealers input their backlog of forms due to the old eForms system being offline for several days. However, as of this afternoon, the system appears to be stable and responding fairly quickly.

** Governor Vetoes Bill To Legalize Suppressors
------------------------------------------------------------
Hagåtña, Guam– On Wednesday, December 22nd, the Governor of Guam vetoed ASA-backed Bill No. 73-36 ([link removed](COR)%20V.%20Anthony%20Ada%20POST%20Transmittal.pdf) which had been passed the day before by a bipartisan 7 to 6 majority of the Guam Legislature. Introduced by Senator V. Anthony Ada, the legislation sought to legalize suppressors in the U.S. Territory, bringing it in line with the 42 states where suppressors are currently legal to own. While the Legislature can override the Governor's veto by a 10 person majority vote, that is unlikely.

The American Suppressor Association would like to thank Senator Ada and the additional 6 Guamanian Senators who voted in favor of this important legislation. We will continue to fight for the legalization of these common-sense hearing protection devices, and will not stop until we are successful!
