Friends — The massive DACA backlog is only growing more unmanageable as thousands of immigrants wait months for their renewals due to slowdowns with the federal government.
Undocumented people are at risk of losing jobs or being furloughed as they wait months for the federal government to renew their DACA applications.
As a DACA recipient, I understand how overwhelming the renewal process can be. And with so much more in jeopardy due to the backlog, United We Dream wants to make it a step easier for DACA recipients by covering the $495 fee. But to do that, we’ll need your help.
Will you rush a donation today to our DACA Application Fund? 100% of your contribution will go toward covering the cost of DACA renewal fees for immigrant youth.

The federal government’s DACA processing backlog has real-life consequences for recipients — and it’s causing a nightmare scenario for thousands of immigrant youth whose legal statuses are in limbo.
First, undocumented immigrants were left behind by the federal government’s economic recovery, even as many experienced job insecurity during the pandemic.
Then, a federal judge in Texas ruled against the DACA program — prohibiting any new applicants.
Now, DACA recipients are at the mercy of their employers — facing imminent job loss and furlough while the federal government’s processing backlog of DACA cases grows on.
This backlog is putting the lives and livelihoods of immigrant youth at risk through no fault of their own. That’s why we’re asking:
While the legal statuses of thousands are in limbo, will you help us make the DACA process one step easier by chipping in towards the costs of renewal fees? Anything you are able to give will go a long way toward helping immigrant youth go through the arduous DACA renewal process.
