John,
I sat down the other week to pull together a list of what we’ve accomplished this year, and I was floored. And when I say “we” that includes you. So I hope you’ll check out our 2021 Victories and feel proud about what you’ve made possible.
2021 has been another challenging year—we celebrated as vaccines rolled out but continued to see the pandemic take its toll as it stretched out longer than many of us expected (or at least hoped).
But you and thousands of others continued to show up—sending letters, making calls to legislators, attending virtual and even some in-person events to fight for a world where peoples’ rights are protected.
From Amazon to Apple, Big Cable to Big Tech, we showed that our collective power can take on even the most powerful corporations—and win. We made progress on fights for net neutrality, to defend the potential of decentralized technologies, and to stop censorship, especially of marginalized groups.
We have plans to continue this work in 2022 (which you can also read about here), and hope you’ll stick with us. It may sound kinda cheesy, but everything we do is only possible with you.
Take a minute to review our 2021 victories and 2022 priorities (and if you can, chip in to keep up the momentum).
Together into the future,
Sarah, Evan, Ayele, Caitlin, Lia, Erica, Leila, Ken, Meredith, Vasjen, Joe, and Terri
