Washington Post: "How redistricting is shaping the 2022 U.S. House map"
Here's the deal, John:
The Washington Post reports that "about half of the states have settled on the boundaries for 229 of 435 U.S. House districts."
That means the lines haven't been drawn yet for up to a whopping 206 districts.
And because of voter lawsuits in states like these: NC, OH, TX, AL
(not to mention the U.S. Department of Justice lawsuit in Texas)
Maps in those states could reset! All that means we still have a lot of work in front of us to achieve fair maps.
