The enigmatic North Fund is perhaps the biggest bankroller of left-wing state ballot initiatives you've never heard of. Its income skyrocketed from $9.3 million in 2019 to over $66 million in 2020, and nearly half of the money came from two sister nonprofits in the vast "dark money" empire ruled by Arabella Advisors. CRC's Hayden Ludwig exposes the North Fund's finances and "educational" activities here.
- Did Democrats help the GOP take the Virginia state house?
Two recounts have confirmed that the Republican Party has done the previously unthinkable: retake control of the Virginia House of Delegates. Amusingly, the state GOP owes its success to Democratic super-lawyer Marc Elias and outgoing state Attorney General Mark Herring (D). CRC's Michael Watson reveals how those two Democrats helped the Republicans by meddling in Virginia's redistricting wars here.
- What more can we learn about Zuck Bucks?
New federal filings for Mark Zuckerberg's main "Zuck Bucks" grantee, the Center for Tech and Civic Life, reveal how that nonprofit funneled hundreds of millions of dollars to local elections offices in an effort to privatize the 2020 election--confirming our reporting over the past year. New discoveries include the Silicon Valley Community Foundation's role in funneling the money and direct link to the Arabella network. - Who funded Bill Kristol's assault on Republicans?
The 501(c)(4) arm of Bill Kristol's Defending Democracy Together (DDT) received $10 million from the Sixteen Thirty Fund, the lead advocacy arm run by Arabella Advisors. Sixteen Thirty Fund's money enabled DDT to become the second-biggest outside spender in the 2020 election, after the National Association of Realtors. Liberal billionaire and eBay founder Pierre Omidyar also contributed a tidy $1.6 million. Hayden Ludwig connects the dots here.

In this episode: Since the identification of the "Omicron variant" of COVID-19, the Left and paternalist factions of the Right at home and abroad have returned to their favorite policy packages: Harsh lockdowns and tyrannical mandates. And while the American president has ruled out lockdowns "for now," his party comrade Bill de Blasio, who remains mayor of New York until the New Year, instituted the most severe vaccination passport regime this side of the Atlantic: No one over the age of five will be permitted to engage in almost any public activity without showing their papers in the so-called "greatest city in the world." De Blasio also issued a harsher edict on workers than President Biden's OSHA vaccination mandate, which has been enjoined by federal courts.
Joining us to discuss de Blasio's order is Joel Zinberg, a senior fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute, director of Paragon Health Institute's Public Health and American Well-Being Initiative, and associate clinical professor of surgery at the Icahn Mt. Sinai School of Medicine.
