Dear John, Despite being a person of faith, I know in my soul that ending gun violence is going to take more than thoughts and prayers; it requires hard work. We must take action so that Wisconsin funds community-based violence prevention and interruption programs and enacts lifesaving, commonsense gun violence prevention laws. If you share my calling to save lives, I invite you to join me in taking action to support WAVE today. We must stand up for what is right, now. In just the past few months, I have presided over too many funerals and tried to comfort too many families of young people who have died by interpersonal gun violence or suicide. My heart aches, but there is hope. Generous friends of WAVE have created a fund to match all donations received before the end of the year (up to $25,000), so there has never been a better time to make a charitable gift. For every politician, who responds to gun tragedies with thoughts and prayers, there are thousands of people like you and me offering more--offering to work hard for our values and prevent any more families from suffering tragic losses. If we all work together, we will see a safer Wisconsin. Make a generous donation to WAVE today, and watch your impact double. Today, I again commit to aligning all of my actions in the direction of peace, love, justice, and hope. I have faith that you will join me.
