Kids faced some big challenges in 2021. Luckily, you were there to demand big solutions.  

When the going got tough, Save the Children Action Network (SCAN) supporters like you showed up for children.  

Our advocates sent over 23,000 messages urging Congress to pass the American Rescue Plan – and they did! You helped expand the child tax credit, prevented thousands of child care facilities from closing their doors and put nutritious food on millions of children’s plates.   

You showed unwavering support for the historic Build Back Better Act, generating over 150,000 messages and 18,000 calls to Congress. Thanks to you, it passed the House of Representatives – and we’re not giving up in our efforts to make sure it passes the Senate!

You denounced harmful policies that targeted children seeking safety at our southern border. We still have a long way to go until all asylum-seeking kids are treated with dignity and compassion, but the Biden administration has started reuniting migrant families.   

You strived to make life better for children in EVERY part of the world, asking Congress to pass the Girls LEAD Act and the MINDS Act to support children’s mental health and prepare them to lead their communities into a brighter future.  

Together, we turned hungry into fed. Vulnerable into protected. Dangerous todays into promising tomorrows. Together, we made change for children.
