Merry Christmas to all!

and to all a great 2022…

******

Well, December has been pretty eventful.

And January promises to be even more so.

We all wish you and your families a safe and wonderful holiday time – and the same for 2022.

While we all navigate the confusion and complexities of the pandemic, we also are giving year-end thanks to Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia, whose commitments to the country, two-party solutions, and the very neediest in our society are as strong now as they have ever been.

It is both unsurprising and disappointing to see how much the media and some political figures have been misleading in characterizing Senator Manchin’s motives in saying he would not support his party’s current proposals in the Build Back Better legislation.

We’ve been closing out our year making sure the truth is out there, as they say.

Here are a couple of videos we produced to put the real facts in front of the American people:

In 2022, we all will be standing shoulder to shoulder with Senator Manchin (insert your own “big shoulders” joke here) and our other allies in the search for two-party solutions to continue our fight with you to change the incentives in our political system.

Again, have a Merry Christmas, a safe and wonderful New Year, and be ready to stay a vital part of our movement to create that third force in American politics next year.

No Labeling Episode 10: Manchin Draws a Line
By Ryan Clancy & Me

Ryan and I break down Sen. Joe Manchin’s call for Democrats to do better than the current Build Back Better Act – why the West Virginia centrist made that decision, and what it means for policy heading into an election year.

Five Facts on Potential Areas for Bipartisan Consensus
By No Labels

The Build Back Better Act is expected to possibly be broken into smaller bills, now that Sen. Joe Manchin has said he cannot support the current version. This means that rather than continue to pursue a Democrats-only solution, President Biden and congressional leaders could follow the model used to pass the infrastructure measure and seek a bipartisan deal to address these challenges.
