My name is Rita Peters and I’ve been serving as the Legislative Strategist for Convention of States for six years now.

I don’t typically send out these types of emails… but today I made an exception. 

With the holidays quickly approaching, I know it’s easy to push things off until the New Year, but it’s important that you know this information now. 

On January 4th, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Rhode Island’s legislative sessions will commence. In some of those states, our Convention of States Resolution has already been filed. 

That means that state legislators could begin voting on our Resolution in a matter of weeks. Strategically, it’s in our best interest to move things forward as close to the opening of the session as possible. 

As state legislators see their sister states lining up to stand against federal tyranny, they are emboldened to do likewise.

We’ve learned through experience that the later in the season it gets, the more difficult it is to pass legislation as state budgets and other issues weigh heavy on the agenda. 

That’s why we’re planning to make BIG moves in the first few weeks of January. 

Our Article V experts will be criss-crossing the nation to meet with key legislators and provide testimony during hearings. We’re organizing COS Lobby Days and busing hundreds of concerned citizens to their capitols to walk the halls and provide their representatives with educational information and the personal touch of hearing from their own constituents on this critical matter. 

As frustration with the Biden Administration and the incompetence of Washington, D.C., reaches an all-time high — there is no better time for state legislators to unite behind the only Constitutional solution that enables We The People to fix what’s ailing this country.
