Wanted to share an important update on our race. Redistricting maps are now 100% final, and to be honest, the results are mixed for our race.

The commission decided to split CA-10 into 3 parts, so Pam and I had to make a tough decision about where to run.

Happy to share I’ve decided to run in the newly formed CA-13 which spans from San Joaquin County all the way down to Fresno. It remains a heavily agricultural district with a large Latino population - the exact kind of district Democrats must win to hold the majority.

I'm excited because it allows me to keep representing my hometown of Turlock, but I’m very disappointed we are losing most of Modesto, our largest city.

This seat remains a top competitive Frontline seat. It's a district Governor Newsom only won by 4 points and about 2/3 of the voters are brand new for me.

We have ALOT of work to do. We need to turbo charge our latino organizing program, get up on TV early to introduce myself, and start logging a lot of hours in the car (the district is about 3x the size of my current one!).
