Folks, I hope you and your family are safe and well as we enter the holiday season.
I’m deeply proud of the progress Democrats in Congress have made in the past few months.
In the Senate, I was proud to help pass the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act — a once-in-a-generation investment in our nation’s crumbling infrastructure. And I’m working hard to get the Build Back Better Act across the finish line in the Senate to make a real, tangible difference in the lives of working families across the country — all while fighting climate change and creating good-paying jobs along the way.
All of these accomplishments will help us build a more equitable society. But we must also keep in mind that folks across the country are still struggling to put food on the table, pay their heating bills as the weather gets colder, and make their rent on time.
Last year, this team stepped up and helped Meals on Wheels provide food to the most vulnerable in our country. As we enter the holiday season, I’m hoping this team can come together once again and help provide nutritious meals for folks who are struggling in our communities.
So, I’m asking you to join me again in supporting Meals on Wheels to help feed families in need this holiday season. If you can, please add a contribution of $3 or more to Meals on Wheels today. It’s important.
If you cannot afford to give at this time, that’s okay. The most important thing you can do right now is take care of yourself and your loved ones.
Thanks for everything. I hope you have a safe and healthy holiday season.
