As we approach the holidays and head into the New Year, I’m looking forward to spending time at home with my family -- and of course, Franklin and Walter will be close, searching for table scraps. I hope you and your loved ones will enjoy a happy, safe, and restful holiday, too.

While this year has certainly been full of challenges, I’m reminded of how much progress we’ve accomplished together for working families in Ohio and around the country -- and we couldn’t have done it without dedicated activists like you.

You’ve given so much to our grassroots movement, but today, I’m asking everyone to shift that generosity toward giving back to our communities.

Too many in our country are struggling to pay rent, put food on the table, or afford a new winter coat. This holiday season, I hope you will consider giving back to those in your community who are in need of an extra hand.

Please consider donating to the National Diaper Bank Network [[link removed]] -- an organization that’s special to Connie and me -- or donate to a local food bank near you [[link removed]] . These groups are providing critical aid to families in need.
