Thank you for showing your love this year!

LET'S LOOK BACK AT THIS YEAR:
In addition to continuing to support 17 im/migrant shelters in Tijuana, we also supported the El Chaparral migrant encampment at the Tijuana port of entry. With the encampment and shelters combined we supported over 4,000 migrants daily with tents, meals, clothes, bathrooms, shelter renovations, legal assistance and so much more. We also purchased a total of 4 vehicles for our shelter network. This year we also formed the El Chaparral Humanitarian Alliance through which we helped over 900 migrants cross safely into the US under humanitarian parole.

You made it possible to remain one of the only organizations supporting Tijuana. To continue helping migrant families:

Our Water Drop program and its diligent team of long-time volunteers was in the desert every weekend of the year! Tracking and scouting new routes, participating in various Search and Rescue missions, and leaving 1500 gallons of water and life-saving supplies. The team also picked up over two tons of trash in the desert, the equivalent of an SUV!

Your support has meant the difference between life and death for so many. To help us continue saving lives:

Our Familias Reunidas Immigration Bond Fund has assisted a total of 100 people and freed them from for-profit immigration prison. We helped individuals from 26 different countries of origin, including our first asylum-seeking couple. This program has helped victims of domestic violence, political violence, hate crimes, and more.

Your support has freed people from detention and reunited them with their families. To help release more:

Our Green Cards for Kids program doubled its impact this year, as we added a second attorney to help children in need. With this addition, we helped more children with legal assistance to file for Special Juvenile Immigrant Status and obtain legal permanent residency. All children in this program have been a victim of abuse or neglect by one or both of their parents. This year, we obtained the first green card, as well as the first citizenship.

Your support has helped children obtain legal permanent residency. To help more kids:

Our Day Laborer Outreach program assisted hundreds of day laborers with over 600 packages of hygiene products, food, know your rights information, masks, hard hats, and more. The continued pandemic meant halted work leaving them with no source of income, along with resources, our team also provides a source of moral support.

Many day laborers depend on our support, to help them:

WHEN YOU SUPPORT BORDER ANGELS YOU SUPPORT ADVOCACY AND EDUCATION:
Hosting talks, presentations, attending rallies, giving interviews, collaborating with other organizations, offering testimony in a congressional hearing about the border and even helping a deported mother was only made possible because of YOU. While navigating the "new normal," we remain committed to our mission of love through action and advocacy. We believe true change and immigration reform happen when we combine humanitarian relief with education!
