It’s been a momentous year for WE ACT and the environmental justice movement, with much to accomplish in the year ahead. As we reach the end of 2021, we’re closing out our 2021 programming, and beginning to plan for the coming year. Here are some ways to support WE ACT and the environmental justice movement this holiday season:

• Make a donation to support WE ACT's Community Organizing, Policy Advocacy and Environmental Health efforts.

• Earthshare: New York residents can  sign up for workplace giving to WE ACT through EarthShare New York. 

• Become a Member: Another way be a part of WE ACT is to join hundreds of Northern Manhattan residents, fellow New Yorkers, and people around the country by becoming a WE ACT Member! Members are invited to participate in monthly membership meetings and working groups - such as the Climate Justice Working Group, and the Healthy Homes Working Group - and other initiatives through which they can address environmental issues while building their leadership, organizing, and advocacy skills. 

• Support the Cecil Corbin-Mark Fellowship: Another way to support is by donating to the Cecil Corbin-Mark Fellowship. This fellowship, which will launch in 2022, pays tribute to the late Cecil Corbin-Mark, Deputy Director and Director of Policy Initiatives at WE ACT. By supporting this fellowship, you can help young people gain experience in environmental justice, and develop leadership skills that will strengthen their professional skills and deepen their understanding of the operations of a community-based advocacy organization.

• Support our Urban Environmental Education Center: You can also choose to support the development of WE ACT’s Urban Environmental Education Center. This Center will be the first of its kind, and will educate Northern Manhattan youth and community members on environmental justice and community organizing through our EHJLT program. Students participating in this program will have access to scientific tools to help them better understand the built environment that surrounds them. 

• Donating Stocks, Bonds, & Mutual Funds: We can also accept donations through securities, To make a securities donation, you will need to provide us with your name and contact information, your broker’s name and contact information, the name of the security/stock ticker, and the number of shares.
