When I was growing up, I never could have imagined I’d become the first Latina ever elected to the Senate. It was only possible thanks to grassroots supporters like you, friend.

My parents taught me that I could accomplish anything with hard work, honesty, and respect for others. I took that lesson and dedicated my life to public service. 

They motivated me every day, and their lessons pushed my sister and me to be the first in our family to graduate college. Then I got to work defending my community.

I served two terms as Nevada’s attorney general and then I became the first Latina and first woman from Nevada ever elected to the U.S. Senate. I won by just two points, narrowly overcoming $50 million spent by Mitch McConnell and his allies to defeat me. 

Now new polling shows me 3 points behind my Trump-endorsed opponent, and CNN is calling me one of the most vulnerable senators in the country. My race has officially been downgraded from ‘Leans Democratic’ to ‘Toss-Up,’ and I’m about to fall short of my critical midnight goal.
