Dear John, If you know that... Black youth are more than four times as likely, Latinx youth are 28 percent more likely, and tribal youth are more than three times as likely to be incarcerated than their white peers, you’ve probably read our reports on racial and ethnic disparities in youth incarceration. Next year, we’ll continue to promote youth justice by advocating to remove youth from adult courts in five states with the worst or growing disparities, including Iowa, Wisconsin, South Carolina, Washington D.C., and Georgia. Please support this advocacy so we can provide solutions that treat kids as kids. |

Let’s prioritize opportunity over punishment, and remember that kids are kids. Let’s offer our youth and their families resources for mental health, education, skill development, and healing. Let’s tackle mass incarceration on the front end by promoting youth justice. From now until December 31, your gift will be matched by a generous donor, up to $20,000! Get involved, and support our work to end mass incarceration today. |

P.S. In addition to advocacy, our youth justice team is advancing a robust research agenda next year. Make a donation today to help us promote youth justice nationwide. |
