Draft Housing Allocations Policy: Consultation

What are we doing?

The Nottingham Homelink partnership, which includes Nottingham City Council, Nottingham City Homes and 11 other registered providers of social housing in the city, is consulting on a revised Housing Allocations Policy.

Why are we doing it?

The policy is being reviewed to ensure it reflects the latest law, including the Homelessness Reduction Act.? The policy also needs updating in response to social housing tenure levels and local housing demand to increase choice, including the private rented sector, while remaining fair and transparent.

How we are consulting

We've been reviewing the existing policy for some time, taking into account feedback and making it easier for you to understand the banding system.? We've now produced a revised proposed Housing Allocations Policy and would like to know what you think.

We're undertaking an open consultation exercise online until 15th September.?
Comments can also be emailed to Homelink and written comments are also welcomed.??
