Happy Holidays Friends!

2021 has been as challenging a year as any for many of us. Between the ongoing pandemic and threats to our democracy, the resilience of our party, and our nation, were tested. Despite these challenges, Democrats have found ways to deliver for the people. The Biden Administration has offered stability in these times, something that the last administration could not do. It started with getting money into the pockets of Americans with the American Rescue Plan and has lead to repairing the foundation of our nation with the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill.

In the final newsletter of 2021, I want to highlight all of the work that we have done over the past 12 months. More importantly, thank you all for your continued support. Without your help, none of this could have been possible.

As we round the corner into 2022, I look forward to building on what we have accomplished. Together, we can ensure a better future for all Americans.

Thanks again and Happy Holidays,

2021 Toplines

In President Biden's first year in office, he has been able to bring America back from the brink of democratic and economic ruin. In just this year, Americans have gotten a taste what the President's plans will mean for the state of our country.
  • 72 percent of American adults are now fully vaccinated and 490 million total vaccine doses have been administered.
  • The unemployment rate has dropped to 4.2 percent from 6.3 percent when President Biden first took office.
  • 99 percent of schools are open, as opposed to the 46% that were open before President Biden took office.
  • Unemployment claims have dropped from 18 million to 2 million.
  • GDP growth is on pace for 5-6 percent, the highest since 1984.
These unprecedented accomplishments have all been achieved in the Biden Administration's first year. It is clear that the President is delivering for working Americans and will continue to do so for the next three years.
The American Rescue Plan

After just 50 days of taking office, President Joe Biden and Congressional Democrats were able to pass much needed relief to millions of working Americans across the country with the American Rescue Plan. The American Rescue Plan put money directly into the pockets of millions, ramped up vaccine distribution, and so much more. Here are just a few of the highlights that we saw with the historic plan:
  • $1400 direct payments to 85% of households
  • $20 Billion for vaccine distribution
  • 11 million people lifted out of poverty with the Child Tax Credit, as well as cutting child poverty in half
  • The enhancement of unemployment insurance for around 11 million Americans
  • Tens of billions of dollars in rental assistance
  • $39 Billion for child care providers
Even after passing this bold plan, this was only the beginning for the Biden Administration.
The Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal

At the beginning of November, the Biden Administration and Congressional Democrats were able to once again make history. Together, they were able to pass a once-in-a-generation investment into the physical foundation of our nation. This deal will rebuild America's roads, bridges, railroads, and utilities, while addressing the ongoing climate crisis. Here are some major points that only touch on the surface of the bill:
  • $55 Billion to expand access to safe drinking water and to replace pipes
  • $65 Billion to ensure that every American has access to reliable high-speed broadband internet
  • $110 Billion toward repairing and rebuilding safe and environmentally friendly bridges
  • Nearly $129 Billion toward modernizing transit in America, while seeking to reduce greenhouse gas emissions with investments in public transit
  • $65 Billion investment in clean energy for our power grids
  • Over $50 Billion to protect our infrastructure against the threats of extreme weather events
This legislation and it's investment will revolutionize how Americans move, live, and even breathe. This is an investment in Americans now and Americans in the future.
