The Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal
At the beginning of November, the Biden Administration and Congressional Democrats were able to once again make history. Together, they were able to pass a once-in-a-generation investment into the physical foundation of our nation. This deal will rebuild America's roads, bridges, railroads, and utilities, while addressing the ongoing climate crisis. Here are some major points that only touch on the surface of the bill:
- $55 Billion to expand access to safe drinking water and to replace pipes
- $65 Billion to ensure that every American has access to reliable high-speed broadband internet
- $110 Billion toward repairing and rebuilding safe and environmentally friendly bridges
- Nearly $129 Billion toward modernizing transit in America, while seeking to reduce greenhouse gas emissions with investments in public transit
- $65 Billion investment in clean energy for our power grids
- Over $50 Billion to protect our infrastructure against the threats of extreme weather events
This legislation and it's investment will revolutionize how Americans move, live, and even breathe. This is an investment in Americans now and Americans in the future.
