John,
The saying goes, “it’s far better to give than it is to receive.” Every holiday season I take this to heart because there’s so much truth to it.
Thanks to the coronavirus vaccine and booster shots, this holiday season brings a bit of normalcy. But our country and the rest of the world are still battling an unprecedented pandemic and its rippling effects on our economy, communities, and overall well-being.
Millions of Americans are experiencing the holidays without a family member, friend, or loved one. Many are struggling to put food on the table for themselves and their families.
During these difficult times, it’s more important than ever that we come together and support one another.
That’s why today I’m asking for you to split a contribution to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Project Angel Food. It’s a simple way to give back to our community and help those who might be struggling to make ends meet.
LA Regional Food Bank provides meals for those struggling with hunger in our community every day, but especially now as the COVID-19 pandemic is causing unprecedented levels of demand for food assistance across Los Angeles County. For every $100 raised, the LA Regional Food Bank can provide 400 meals.
Project Angel Food prepares and delivers healthy meals to feed people impacted by serious illness and compromised immune systems — exactly the sort of people at greatest risk from COVID-19.
Please, if you can, make a split donation to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Project Angel Food to help those in need. 100% of your donation goes to them. No one should ever go hungry — period.
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your split donation will go through immediately:
I never take this compassionate, caring, and unwavering grassroots team for granted. Your continued support is always the best gift of all.
Truly, thank you for everything you do. I hope you and your loved ones have a wonderful holiday season.
