Texas AG Adopts EPPC Senior Fellow Roger Severino’s Analysis on Conscience Rights of Medical School Students

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton this week issued an opinion adopting an analysis by EPPC Senior Fellow Roger Severino regarding the conscience rights of medical students and medical schools who refuse to participate in abortion-related training. Mr. Severino is the director of EPPC’s HHS Accountability Project and served as Director of the Office for Civil Rights at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services from 2017 to 2021.

EPPC Scholars Submit Public Comment Opposing Proposal to Eliminate Protections for Faith-Based Contractors

On December 9, EPPC scholars Roger Severino and Rachel N. Morrison submitted a public comment opposing a proposal by the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) to rescind various protections for faith-based contractors that allow them to partner with the federal government and serve the American people without having to abandon tenets of their faith or their religious identity.
