Dear John,
I want to thank you so much for your heart for Africa during this particularly challenging time. Christmas messages from Stephen Mbogo and Michael Cassidy are below, thanking you and affirming you in the love of Jesus through scripture.
We also have brought you amazing recipes from our team leaders in Africa – try these great dishes and be transported straight to the kitchens of Rwanda, Ghana and Ethiopia in celebration of our 60th anniversary.
I’m excited to report that we’ve had over 2,700 people enrol in the pastor training course (PTC) over the past year. This is a massive uptake of the program and we give thanks to Moore College in Sydney for making the education platform available and for all the local education coordinators. The amazing story of Festo Kivengere is brought to you below, and we remember him during the 60th anniversary. I have the privilege of working with his daughter Charity today, who is on the AE international board and chair of our 60th anniversary committee. In wonderful news, the Nile Vocational Institute in Uganda that Festo had a role in establishing, was just voted the number one vocational training institute in Uganda! Praise God for the vision of Michael and Festo to see Africa won for Jesus, that continues strongly today through our team leaders and support offices.
There is such great need in some of the poorest, most marginalised, unreached and vulnerable nations on earth, and African Enterprise is right there amongst it all, witnessing to the love of Jesus in word and deed. I am so thankful for each and every one of you for equipping workers in the harvest field and to see tens of thousands coming into a relationship with Jesus every year.
In exciting news we are establishing an office in South Sudan and developing our relationship with the churches of Togo. Your donations are making this all possible, and thank you for partnering with us and providing for mission and development activities. We’d dearly love to raise the full $ 90K to end of December to give certainty to our vulnerable women support programs and mission planning for 2022.
