Team, This year, Texas was constantly top of mind. From its anti-choice law attacking Roe v. Wade, to the racialized gerrymandering the Department of Justice sued the state over, Texas served as an example of just what the GOP would have in store for the country if they were to take the House next year. And so for Future Forum, it is critical that we defend our majority and our Texas members, Colin Allred (TX-32) and Lizzie Fletcher (TX-07), against the onslaught of Republican attacks on House Democrats on their 2022 target list. Defending our razor-thin majority is our top priority next year – but we can’t do it without your support. If you do not want to see the GOP apply their extremist policies nationwide, please contribute $10 or more today and join our fight.
Our Texas members stood up to the Texas GOP’s anti-choice law by co-sponsoring and leading the passage of the Women’s Health Protection Act, a bill intended to protect access to abortion. And earlier this year, just two months after the current legislative session started, and in the middle of passing a COVID relief bill, our Texas members were also busy passing the For the People Act, a bill meant to end the same type of racialized gerrymandering the Texas GOP proudly practices.
Thank you, Future Forum Team |
