INSPIRE Discernment Retreat
Have you ever dreamed of starting something new that will reach new people?

God is doing new things throughout the world and in the most unlikely places. New faith communities can take a variety of forms like a small group, recovery ministry, or a missional community and, yes, even a new worship experience or a new church, both in-person and online. As the pandemic has taught us, church can happen in many settings. While not everyone is called to plant a new church, we are all called to reach people for Jesus, and that often comes in the form of creating something new.

If you have felt the nudge to do something different to reach new people and would like to explore the different ways you can make that possible, then INSPIRE is for you.

We invite you to gather your leadership team and join other laity and clergy from around our Conference to experience INSPIRE together.

Who: Missouri Conference Laity and Clergy
When: 1-5 p.m., January 8 (optional lunch at 12 p.m.)

Online Early Response Team Training for Disaster Response
Registration deadline January 20.

This class will provide you with the Basic information you need about Early Response Teams. Early Response Teams (ERTs) fill a specific need in the days after a disaster to clean out flood-damaged homes, remove debris, place tarps on homes, and otherwise help to prevent further damage, while providing a caring Christian presence.
Attendance is required at all four classes in order to receive an UMCOR ERT Badge. A week before the class, registrants must complete a background check initiated by UMCOR. You will receive more information on this after you register. Once the background check is complete, registrants will receive a link to the training and instructions to obtain class materials.

Friday, February 4 - 6-8 p.m.

Saturday, February 5 - 9-11 a.m.
