—THANK YOU!—

Dear People For Supporter,

As we head into the New Year, the fight continues … to safeguard our
democracy, protect the right to vote, and defend the other fundamental
rights under attack by the Far Right.

Progress has not been easy this year. And that’s been frustrating to many
of us. But make no mistake – we have made progress. And because of the
hard, smart, and courageous work that you’ve participated in and
supported, we’re able to head into 2022 with hope.

One area, in particular, where we’ve made enormous progress in 2021 is in
our work to confirm fair-minded judges and undo the severe harm done to
our federal courts by Donald Trump, Mitch McConnell, and other Senate
Republicans.

And the progress we’re talking about is historic in scope: more first-year
judicial confirmations than any president in 40 years … and unprecedented
diversity among confirmed nominees, including many historic firsts…

People For members like you, through your activism, advocacy, and support,
have helped achieve this groundbreaking progress. THANK YOU.

Please take a moment to watch a recent video about our progress on the
courts – and note that even in the two weeks since the video was recorded,
we’ve made even more progress with several more critically important
confirmations in the Senate!

We still have a lot of work to do. And the Trump-McConnell Supreme Court
is still a major threat. But our other powerful federal courts – which
greatly impact Americans’ everyday lives and fundamental rights with their
rulings – are moving in the right direction. And that’s in large part
thanks to your support for People For’s work in this important area.

Thanks again and Happy New Year, from all of us at People For.

Sincerely,

Marge Baker, Executive Vice President
