Colleagues and Friends,

We are pleased to tell you that we now have a Fiscal Sponsor. As a result of our adoption by the sterling Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts (CFNCM), all donations to LDAD made via the CFNCM link here and on our website, whether made online or by check, are tax deductible under IRS Section 501(C)(3).

This is great news, of course, for us and we ask that you make a donation, hopefully one as substantial as you can, before the end of the year, using that link.

LDAD has now recognized that to continue to function effectively, as well as to be able to expand our work together, it is essential to have an Executive Director, along with our part-time media consultant and website manager.

Your donation will enable us to continue to do all we can, with your help, to mobilize the legal profession and all who serve in the office of citizen to protect and defend the rule of Law, the norms, values and principles of democracy, and hold accountable the forces engaged in the escalating assault on those core values and institutions that preserve our fragile democracy.

By way of quick update, LDAD learned in October that our application  for C3 status – originally filed in April -  is still pending due to the backlog at the IRS. Obtaining a fiscal sponsor became essential, and we are grateful to CFNCM for agreeing to play that role and doing so on an expedited basis. This allows all future donations to be tax deductible. We will notify all past donors once we have heard from the IRS with respect to their past kind gifts.

Thank you, my friends. Keep the Faith.
