This look back at what we accomplished together this year is sure to make your end-of-year a little brighter.

EDF Action Network presents: 2021 by the numbers!

This year, YOU played a major role in driving environmental progress.

* You sent nearly 330,000 messages (and counting!) to elected officials and decision-makers.

* More than 100,000 of you raised your voices to demand bold and ambitious climate investments from Congress;

* And together, you sent more than 60,000 public comments to EPA and other federal agencies.

But you didn’t stop there... Thousands of EDF activists took the next step by making a donation:

* On Earth Day, 1,013 EDF activists celebrated by donating over $85,000 in a single day!

* Altogether, EDF members unlocked nearly $5 million in matching dollars with their donations in 2021.

* More than 18,500 Eco Partners are contributing over $400,000 every single month to fight for a better environmental future. The average Eco Partner gift is $22.33 per month!

And all your support got results! U.S. leaders joined a global movement to set ambitious climate goals for this decade. By 2030:

* U.S. pledges to cut climate pollution by 50%

* U.S. mandates 50% of new vehicles sold will emit zero pollution

* U.S. and more than 100 other countries pledge to reduce methane pollution by 30%

And EDF and our allies helped secure critical funding for conservation and restoration projects around the world. Together, we:

* Successfully advocated for $1 billion in government funding to restore more than 17,000 acres of Louisiana coastline over the next 30 years, a joint effort with our allies in the Mississippi River Delta coalition.

* Secured $1 billion to help foreign governments and indigenous tribes protect their domestic rainforests through the EDF-backed Lowering Emissions by Accelerating Forest finance (LEAF).

* Urged on by EDF members’ advocacy, Congress approved a bipartisan infrastructure bill that dedicates $15 billion to replace dangerous lead pipes across the country.

From all of us here at EDF, THANK YOU for making all this progress possible in 2021.

We wish you a safe and warm holiday season, filled with pride for what we’ve accomplished this year, hope for what we will accomplish next year, and most importantly: love for each other and for our incredible mother Earth who sustains us.

Warmest wishes,
