Folks — the primary for the special election in HD-89 starts in less than 3 hours in Norfolk. Tomorrow we will have a nominee and we need to be ready to hit the ground running to hold onto our Democratic seat.

With the GOP gaining control over the House of Delegates as well as the governor’s mansion, we can’t afford to give up a single seat.

We’re going to need every Democratic voice we can get to protect the progress Virginia has made over the last few years. Criminal justice reform, voting rights, reproductive rights, LGBTQ+ rights — everything is at stake. We can’t afford to give up another seat to the Virginia GOP with so much on the line.

We’re setting a 24-hour goal: $8,900 to show the HD-89 nominee that we’ll have their back on January 11th. We’re going to be working round the clock to keep HD-89 blue, but we need your help.

Can you chip in to help us meet our goal to hold onto this Democratic seat and show the nominee that Democrats from around the Commonwealth are in their corner?
