[1]Mark Kelly for Senate

We have a big problem, so I won't sugarcoat it: My campaign fell short of our mid-month fundraising goal last week and now we're behind in a race that experts say could decide Senate control.

Nate Silver's FiveThirtyEight reports that Republicans are favored to retake the Senate for Mitch McConnell in next year's election, and it's clear why: They only have to flip one seat – and they’ve made me and Mark Kelly their top targets.

In fact, National Republicans have already started running ads to attack us in Georgia and Arizona. That's why we have to close this budget shortfall immediately – so I have to ask: Can you split an urgent contribution right now between my campaign and Mark Kelly’s to help us defend these seats and hold the Senate? Do it before our FEC deadline ends in just a few days.

While Mark and I have spent our time in office fighting to beat this virus, lowering costs for hardworking families, and creating good-paying jobs, Republicans have been dead set on attacking us ahead of the 2022 midterms.

Now their mega donors are funneling millions into dark-money groups, spending whatever it takes to try and flip our seats, retake control of the Senate, and block our agenda at every turn. So we cannot accept this missed fundraising goal – or any missed goals going forward. In a race this important, every single dollar counts.

Every minute we waste not hitting our goal is another minute we give the GOP to mobilize against us. So please, friend, I have to ask: Will you split a contribution right now between my campaign and Mark Kelly’s so we can defend these seats and hold the Senate?

Thank you so much. It’s not just about how much money we raise before this critical FEC deadline, but how many people are chipping in toward that number.
