In August, we made this campaign official. And this December, I proudly filed the paperwork to become an official Democratic candidate to be on the 2022 Democratic primary ballot to unseat Henry Cuellar.
The response since then has been overwhelming — seeing everyone raise their hands to volunteer and donate has me filled with gratitude.
I’m emailing you right now because we are less than three months away from the TX-28 Democratic primary election. Our election is March 1, which is right around the corner. That’s why we’re asking for campaign endorsements, and I wanted to humbly request yours, John.
Will you sign your name to give your official endorsement for our campaign for Congress? If enough people give their endorsement, it will say a lot about the strength and size of the grassroots movement we’re building to win in TX-28.

Henry Cuellar continues to prove that he’s more interested in catering to his big corporate donors and obstructing President Biden’s agenda.
Just recently, Cuellar has attempted to halt the progress on Build Back Better, working with Senator Manchin to kill the oil and gas provisions in the bill. And it’s no surprise why — he received over $1 million from the Oil and Gas Industry throughout his time in Congress.
In last year’s election, super PACs and corporate interests — including the Koch brothers’ empire, the largest private prison network Geo Group, and the banking industry’s major PACs — flooded into our race to protect Henry Cuellar and do his bidding in Congress. So we can expect Henry Cuellar to have a lot of powerful backers behind him this time around.
The truth is that the only way someone like me can win a race like this is if we completely outnumber all those rich and powerful people with tens of thousands of grassroots supporters fighting for a progressive agenda.
In spite of all the obstacles, we came just a couple of thousand votes short of a huge upset in last year’s election. But this time around, we’re going to win. But only if I can earn your support and the support of grassroots activists like you.
