Tis the Season for Giving

With just 10 days left until the start of 2022, our end-of-the-year fundraising is rounding out the home stretch. While it has been a year of incredible triumphs for our organization, it is impossible to ignore the challenges presented to the global community. As always, our focus is on historically marginalized populations, and the frontline clinicians who serve them.

And the timing couldn’t be more critical. In an email blast distributed yesterday, Dr. Kaethe Weingarten, Director of MCN’s Witness to Witness Project, drew attention to one particularly concerning development: the increasing number of clinicians being traumatized by COVID-19. Dr. Weingarten included a video testimonial from Pamela Secada, the Program Manager for Witness to Witness, explaining that as “COVID has been unrelenting for frontline clinicians, many are suffering in silence.”

But at MCN, we can (and do!) help.

While Witness to Witness represents just one area of our programming, it underscores the importance of why our organization exists, and what we strive to do. It also illustrates why, when the chips are down, we look to the world at large. Serving in this capacity is possible because of people like you, who support our work in times of both feast and famine.

Right now, we are so close to meeting our goal of raising $40,000—can you be the one who gets us there? Nearly 91 percent of every dollar we receive goes right back into our funding, meaning that even a donation of $5 is crucial to the reach of our impact.

With the Scener Chrome extension, you (plus up to 10 of your friends) can share the experience of a digital movie marathon. Scener syncs seamlessly with a number of online streaming services, including Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, and Disney+. Ask your attendees to RSVP by making a small donation to MCN, then let the good times roll.
