Central Missouri Community Action is proud to sponsor Building Blocks for Missouri's Success, Empower Missouri's 2019 annual conference. The conference, which is focused around food insecurity in Missouri, will feature Ellen Teller, Director of Government Affairs for the Food Research & Action Center in Washington, D.C. as the keynote speaker. It will end with a panel with Reps. Crystal Quade and Mary Elizabeth Coleman who will discuss the #MOSNAPChallenge and the importance of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program.

 

Participants may also attend two of nine potential workshops for deeper learning on topics such as criminal justice reform, affordable housing, food policy, and self-care for advocates.
