Friend, yesterday we updated you with our victories and losses for reproductive rights in 2021. But 2021 was an important year for another reason: This year marks 48 years since Roe v. Wade became the law of the land in the United States.

For 48 years, abortion access has been protected at the highest level: the Supreme Court. This was one of our biggest wins for reproductive rights ever.

❗❗ But friend, we’ve been keeping up with the Supreme Court this year, and our worst fears are true: Roe v. Wade is in danger of being reversed. ❗❗

Conservative lawmakers in Texas and Mississippi have gone to extreme measures to pass unconstitutional bans on abortion procedures. And now, the Supreme Court is considering these bans -- and with Trump-appointed justices like Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett on the bench, the Supreme Court could overturn Roe v. Wade in an instant.

At March On, we know that reproductive healthcare is essential healthcare. We know that banning abortions will only stop safe abortions from happening. And we know that Roe v. Wade must be upheld in order to protect our reproductive rights.
