I'm reaching out today with some urgent news about my friend and colleague Val Demings – another Democrat from a battleground state who's also breaking barriers and fighting for working families.

Val Demings is just 2 points behind Marco Rubio in a race that experts are saying will determine Senate control. I've won in a swing state before, so believe me when I tell you that Val Demings has what it takes to flip Florida – but her most significant obstacle is resources, and she's falling short of her $200,000 End of Month goal at the worst possible moment.

Democrats can't afford to let Val Demings fall behind in such an important race. That's why I'm coming to you personally to ask you to help Val Demings close her fundraising gap before midnight:
