UMC Reaches Settlement in Boy Scouts (BSA) Bankruptcy Case
United Methodist leaders have reached a settlement in the matter of the Boy Scouts of America’s (BSA) pending bankruptcy proceedings. Upon final court approval, the settlement would absolve any claims of sexual abuse that may have occurred in congregation-sponsored Scouting programs. Missouri local churches who filed a claim with the BSA and received a packet from Omni Agents were sent further communication via email this afternoon by Rev. Nate Berneking, Director of Finance and Administrative Ministries. That email was sent to the pastor of those churches.
