Dear John,
WomenHeart Champions are the heart of our organization. Here is what some of them have to say about why WomenHeart is important to them. And watch the video at the bottom of the email to hear more Champion voices.
I found a community of women who know what it’s like to live with heart disease every day. – Lori
I cherish my circle of Heart Sisters. We understand, support and appreciate each other. – Sarah
Knowledge is power, this best describes what it means to be a WomenHeart Champion. – Lynette
Throughout 2021, WomenHeart never stopped supporting, educating and caring for women living with and at risk of heart disease. With our programming and through our Champions, we helped them thrive with resilience, perseverance, and grace.
We offered HeartTalks webinars that reached hundreds of people, educating them about everything from the COVID-19 vaccine, to the link between heart disease and diabetes, and how to access preventive heart care. We launched our SisterMatch app, where newly diagnosed women can more easily connect with Big Sisters – Champions who have walked in their shoes and can offer peer support. And we re-engaged over 120 WomenHeart Champions in a Champion Refresher Course with Mayo Clinic faculty. We had Champions from every class – going back nearly 20 years – participate!
When you donate to WomenHeart, you are investing in these efforts and more. You are helping to support our Champions and the amazing work that they do every day in their communities.
