Joe Manchin, a coal millionaire who lives on a yacht, decided to kill Bernie's budget over the weekend over the objections of his own voters who would very much like tax the rich, reduce childhood poverty, and have access to cheaper prescription drugs.
His selfish decision could lead to actual fascism because it means that Democrats will fail to deliver on popular proposals before the midterm elections.
West Virginia is one of the poorest states in our country and could benefit greatly from Bernie's budget. There is no constructive reason for Joe Manchin’s position — it’s all about enriching himself, his donors, and the worst polluters on the planet.
