Forests are a vital part of the world’s ecosystem but we’re destroying them at an alarming rate.

We’ve lost more than half the world’s tropical forests since the 1960s. In 2019, the world lost an entire soccer field worth of primary rainforest every six seconds. Cattle ranching, agriculture, mining, oil drilling — humans are the cause of this ecological disaster and we must act to stop it.

To combat deforestation, EARTHDAY‍.ORG’s The Canopy Project works with local partners to plant trees worldwide. Since 2010, we’ve planted millions of trees from Africa to North America to Asia, supporting vulnerable communities as they fight back against habitat loss and climate change. We make sure that our planting projects are led by the needs of the communities they are in and provide training and jobs to local people.

The Canopy Project is just one of EARTHDAY‍.ORG’s programs working to safeguard the planet year-round. Explore our shop and gift your loved ones with our new designs. <[link removed]>
