Jack, every single month, we are going to be knocking on 22,000 doors. Yes, 22,000. We may have bad maps, but we’re not going to give up fighting. We saw what happened in Georgia. Miracles can happen. We can absolutely flip our state blue, but it is going to take long-term power-building, and knocking on doors several times around.
Georgia did a lot of door-knocking, and so are we. Can you give $20 to our new Field Action Fund? We’re building out our field program, which is the heart of our program, by hiring regional organizing directors and field organizers to knock 22,000 doors every single month.
In order to ensure that we have over 90% turnout for voters of color in #EveryElectionEveryTime moving from here to infinity, we need to have a lot of conversations with people who have been silenced for centuries. North Carolina’s history is a bloody one, and it is going to take a lot to repair the damage.
That starts one door at a time, one field organizer at a time, one volunteer at a time, one dollar at a time.
After Chief Justice Cheri Beasley lost her election by 401 votes, it became very clear that if we had more voters of color turning out for a candidate of color, she would have won. The New North Carolina Project is led by two Black women, Dr. Aimy Steele and YaKima Rhinehart, who know in their bones what it feels like to be silenced. They have put together an entire team ready to lead North Carolina into the next southern state to flip blue. Our voters deserve that.
Let's do this,
