Dear John, Even though the holiday season has already begun, I wanted to take this moment to wish you a joyous time with your friends and family as we celebrate and look forward to the New Year! There is no better time than the holidays to reminisce on the past year and consider our plans for the next one. In 2021, the VoteRiders team grew our programming, expanded our outreach, and continued to build the capacity we know will be needed to serve voters and our partners in the big year ahead. Meanwhile, our extensive team of pro-bono lawyers carefully analyzed the rapidly changing legal landscape, ensuring that we’re able to provide accurate and updated state-specific information as the midterm elections approach. Looking ahead to 2022, with more and stricter voter ID laws in place than in any previous election, we will need all hands on deck to meet the challenges of this moment. A single eligible voter unable to vote is one too many, but millions disenfranchised or discouraged from voting can radically and unfairly shift the entire political landscape — stifling democracy as we know it. Together we are the difference — because only together do we have the strength and support needed to overcome the challenges to come.
