John, at the Working Families Party, we value the relationship we have with our members and supporters. So here’s some transparency into what our online fundraising has looked like in the past several months compared to the monthly goals we set out to meet at the beginning of the year:
We’ve been busy this last quarter. We went all-in on Election Day to elect progressives who will change the status quo for working families. We fought for necessary and popular investments in the Build Back Better Act. But as you can see, we’ve raised significantly less than our projected goals over the course of the fall.
Unlike some other political groups, our fundraising goals aren’t manufactured or manipulated for the purpose of raising even more money. They are real numbers — from real plans — and they have a real impact.
We’re currently not on pace to reach our projected end-of-year online fundraising goal of $100,000. And with hundreds of WFP champions running for office next year, we have to do everything we can to reverse that trend and close the gap. Can we count on you to contribute $3, $5, or 27 towards our end-of-year goal?
