Angela Angel, Black Lives Matter PAC's senior advisor, is officially stepping down and will be pursuing a run for Congress! 🎉🥳
Our goal at Black Lives Matter PAC has always been to empower and elect leaders who fight on the front lines for Black liberation, and we couldn't be more excited and honored than to see her do this. Every link in the chain for freedom and equality is bound together by the monumental fighting power of each and every one of us.
Angela is a strong progressive leader, and has had the privilege to serve as a member of the Maryland House of Delegates, representing the 25th District in Prince George's County.
She did so while balancing being a single mother of 5, fighting with every fiber of her being to make a better future for her family and her constituents.
While at the Black Lives Matter PAC, Angela led work to invest heavily in the California governor recall election, Chi Ossé's victorious race in New York City's 36th district, Louisiana's 2nd Congressional district special election, the 2020 Georgia General Election and Senate runoffs, and most recently in the 2021 Virginia gubernatorial election.
John, she's a different kind of leader. She's a vulnerable leader who remains transparent and open.
