A few days ago, Rep. Adam Kinzinger said the following about Kevin McCarthy: “I don’t think history books are going to be kind to him.”
Respectfully, this history book line is tired. We need to be focusing on the present. Right here. Right now.
A lot of folks rightfully direct a lot of their anger at the Senate’s #1 Bad Guy Mitch McConnell. If you’re looking for the House equivalent, look no further than Kevin McCarthy.
Bends to the will of the most extreme members of his party, both his colleagues and ex-Insurrectionist-in-Chief Donald Trump? Check.
Ignores the people he’s supposed to represent in Congress and does nothing while his constituents ask for help? Check.
Works to block once-in-a-generation legislation because it won’t benefit him and his wealthy, corporate donors? Check.
Always angling for the most power, even if it means giving in to people who want to overthrow the government?
Check, check, check.
This is our present. We already have one Mitch McConnell in Washington — our communities can’t afford to have two of them. Chip in a few bucks, help make sure we defeat the Mitch McConnell of the House, and put real leadership for the Central Valley in Congress.

The movement we’re building is one made up of everyday folks who are sick and fed up of being ignored by Kevin McCarthy.
We are sick of seeing him do everything he can to stop the passing of bills that would bring real relief to working people.
We are sick of seeing him sell out the people he represents and this country, by continuing to let the most extreme members of his party say whatever they want and endanger their own colleagues with their rhetoric.
I’m running for Congress because working families will continue to go without if he stays in power — and we can’t trust him to protect our democracy. With our biggest fundraising deadline coming up in just a few days, we can send a strong message to Kevin that he won’t be able to avoid the consequences forever. Chip in whatever you can afford and let's make history together.
Let’s get it done,
Bruno
